I've been a member of Blackshaw Paranormal for just over a year now and have really enjoyed the time I've spent so far.

The first vigil I went to was held at the Ram Inn at Wotton Under-Edge, I met the other investigators on the team and found them all very friendly and encouraging.

The night at the Ram was a brilliant experience and one not easily forgotten. It is an odd atmosphere there and you seem to be anticipating that something will happen. We were not disappointed. Whilst filming in the barn, Kevin our investigation leader was pushed into Michelle, Terri and myself . It was quite a scary moment.

The footage and photos taken at the Ram were very good, with lots of orbs and unexplainable features. It was a great night.

The other units that we have met at have also had some good experiences. Unfortunately, one of the nights I was unable to attend I missed some exciting occurrences.

Another good night for me was when we recently held a vigil at Kevin's workplace, a unit that is built on the Old Vickers site in Swindon. We caught some great orbs on camera and some strange noises. In the early hours of the morning one of our team members, John, had explained a way of concentrating so that you can tunnel your vision to see things. We were in an isle of racking and experienced a drop in temperature. It was particularly cold, then we all tried the explained method.In front of me I could see smoke and a shimmering effect like a road that's really hot in the middle of summer. I asked if anyone else could see this. Nobody could, but a couple of people said they could smell smoke. I know that I was thrilled at what I could see.

That night other members saw a man in a trench coat and two children in Victorian dress - a girl and a boy.

I look forward to continuing with the group, hope to experiment more and enjoy the company of this great team of friends.
